About Delta Sharks

Ashar Khaliq (known as AK) started Delta Sharks in 2016.  It was created for players local to the Delta (Brentwood, Oakley, Antioch, Discovery Bay, etc...) to have a place to play competitive weekly poker games in a fun, safe, learning atmosphere.  The buy-ins were intentionally low and a portion of each buy-in was collected for a season pot and awarded to the top performers over a period of time.  It was never intended to be an online-league until Covid-19, and from necessity the DeltaSharks.com were born.  This allows us to add more players to our pool and allow players who have since moved away to other areas.  It also provided the opportunity for more games, leagues, and prizes.  We run a variety of leagues with different games, point structures, prizes, etc...  If you would like to join in reach out to ak@deltasharks.com.
